Prayer As an Everyday Habit

by admin on January 16, 2012

How do you use prayer in your life?  Do you pray and beg on your knees when you feel that you have no other option?  Do you have a daily conversation with God?  Are you asking from a place of "not having" or do you pray knowing that your prayers have already been answered?

Prayer for most people is like dieting; you do it after you've reached a level of frustration and helplessness.  At some point, it's time to stop asking for guidance out of desperation, and begin everyday empowered with the knowing that all you have to do is ask.

We all have an inner guide that wants to help us experience the fullness of life.  In order to discover it, we must first turn inward and shut out the outer world to receive the good that is waiting for us.  Prayer is how we receive this guidance.

God has already promised to provide you with everything you want.  Your job is just to ask.  Don't get wrapped up in trying to figure out how it will happen, or if it's possible.  If you can imagine it, God can surely provide it to you.  God isn't too busy or uninterested in your life to care about the little things.  He has his hand in your life to the smallest details.  But you first have to ask, and then to believe.

It sounds so easy, but you may already be arguing, saying that things don't work that way for you.  So let me ask you, are you in a place to receive the gifts that you've asked for?

Do you see yourself as a worthy recipient?  You have already been given permission by God to ask for anything that you desire.  That leaves nothing out!  But everyday we sell ourselves short by taking what we feel we deserve instead of what God says we can have.

Let prayer and receiving be a crucial part of your day.  Ask and know that it is already provided for you.  Give thanks for the gifts that are still unseen.  As you build your prayer muscles, just watch as miracles unfold!

My Prayer For the Purpose-Filled Woman

by admin on December 14, 2011

As the end of the year is quickly approaching, I decided to allow myself a little time to reflect before blogging and just focus on the consistency of the message that God wants me to share.

This morning in meditation, I heard these words so clearly, and I know in my soul that I'm not the only one who needs to hear this.  So this is for all you women who are craving more for your life next year.

"Believe in yourself.  What you want wants you.  Success wants you.  PURPOSE and PASSION want you.  The desires that are burning in your heart are there so that you share it with others."

And my ego mind starts butting in, (as it so often will!) saying "Who are YOU?  What do you have to say that hasn't been said?  So many people are far ahead…you'll never catch up."

I pray.

I listen.

"These desires have been placed in your heart.  Not for you to hoard and keep to yourself, but for you to share.  You don't need to reach the world right away.  Start with your home.  Start with your friends.  Begin with your community.  Open your heart and all you need will be given to you."

Peace.

God, guide my actions and purify my heart and mind so that I can live on purpose.  That my little thinking be replaced with the power that is my divine right.  When I have doubt, I pray that You remind me that You are always with me, and with You, all things are possible.  I pray this for myself and every other woman who knows that she is destined for more.  This coming year we do not look back, we do not regret.  Together, we move forward- powerfully fueled by our inner guidance that will always be our truth.  Amen.

The Gift In Hitting Rock Bottom

September 20, 2011

I hope that you never have to go through a tragic experience in order to really find your inner truth.  It would be awesome if we all could reach a higher spiritual level through joyful experiences.  But most people don't really start to search within until they actually hit rock bottom. Everybody's "rock bottom" is [...]

Should I Stay or Should I Go?

September 14, 2011

Making decisions can be hard.  Especially when it involves decisions about your future.  Especially when it involves your future with a man. Take Becca for example.  She loves her boyfriend despite the fact that he's possessive and unreasonably jealous.  She doesn't want to leave him but she doesn't know how much more she can take [...]

Are You Asking For Too Much From Your Guy?

September 9, 2011

Woman to woman, would you agree that sometimes (okay, a lot of times) we have a lot of requests that we would like to see our men meet.  If only he were more romantic, told you he loved you more, took you out more often, made you feel special, stopped leaving the toilet seat up….if [...]

Are You Settling In Your Relationship?

September 1, 2011

I often hear women say they know exactly what they want in a relationship and how they want to be treated by a man.  But their current relationship or dating pattern is far from their expectations and desires.  You can be very clear on what you want, and still unable to follow through in making [...]

A Surprising Strategy to Strenthen Your Relationship

August 30, 2011

Relationships.  What a loaded word.    As women, we desire to feel loved, emotionally supported, protected, and adored.  Men on the other hand seek autonomy, space, respect, and power.  We both come together with our list of wants, needs, and deal-breakers and wonder why it's so difficult to actually find someone who both challenges us [...]

Monday’s Mantra: Give It To God

August 6, 2011

Lately I've been having some great conversations with God.  Yes, I regularly spill my guts like my best friend is in the room with two open ears.  Since I've been reading A Course In Miracles, I've had such a sense of peace, acceptance, and empowerment and I didn't hesitate to tell God how great it [...]

Tears and Bootcamp. Who’da Thought?

August 2, 2011

I never expected to have someone break down in tears at the end of one of my bootcamp classes, but that's what happened today.  I was so touched on a soul-level that it gave me goosebumps through my entire body.  For the longest time I've been wondering how I can merge fitness and spirituality.  Those [...]
